Marsha Hunter
Marsha Hunter (Opera, ‘77) serves as the alumni trustee at the Curtis Institute of Music. A student in the Curtis Opera Department from 1976–77, her 25-year singing career included opera, concerts, theater, and chamber music. During her second career teaching persuasion and advocacy for trial lawyers and professional speaking skills for transactional attorneys, she consulted for the United States Department of Justice, major American law firms, and legal organizations from Belfast to Tasmania. For Ms. Hunter, Curtis clarified that classical music beautifully played is a cornerstone of humanity. Curtis’s mission to ensure that the world’s best music faculty teaches exceptionally gifted students resonates deeply with her. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband Brian Johnson.
