Earl Lee (Cello '05) and Robert Kahn (Conducting '22) Receive Prestigious Solti Awards

Exciting news from the Solti Foundation for two Curtis alumni

Earl Lee (Cello ’05), associate conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, was announced by the Solti Foundation U.S. as the 2022 recipient of the organization’s major grant, The Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award. Each year, this prestigious honor is given to a single promising American conductor 38 years of age or younger. The Sir Georg Solti Fellow is offered invaluable career guidance, industry connections, and $30,000 to hone their skills and musicianship, while furthering their career.

In addition, Robert Kahn, a 2022 conducting graduate of Curtis, has been selected as one of 18 young conductors receiving The Sir Georg Solti Career Assistance Award. Robert and his talented colleagues have all demonstrated a positive, community-driven outlook in their work through innovative projects, diverse programming, and more.
