Curtis Institute of Music students perform over 100 free recitals during the school year, held on most Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. Admission requires advance registration and is complimentary.

About the Performers

Izaiah Cheeran, from Apple Valley, Minn., a student of Katherine Needleman and Philippe Tondre, is the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Fellow and entered Curtis in 2022.   

Maxence Dauriat, from Combs-la-Ville, France, a student of Don Liuzzi, Eric Millstein, and Ji Su Jung, is the Richard A. Doran Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.   

Dongyoung Jake Shim (‘24), from Seoul, a student of Shmuel Ashkenasi and Ida Kavafian, is the Dorothea and Ray Posel Fellow and first entered Curtis in 2022.   

Dandan Jingfei Wang, from Changsha, China, a student of Midori, is the Nina von Maltzahn Fellow and entered Curtis in 2021.
