Student Recital: Grief and Grinding Gears

Join us for the 2020–21 Student Recital Series at Curtis with new performances each Friday.

Curtis’s virtual student recitals are back! Our 2021 recital performances begin with Reena Esmail’s Darshan (which means “seeing” in Hindi), an exploration of grief steeped in Indian classical music traditions, and Paul Hindemith’s Viola Sonata, Op. 25, a twisting, grinding work that reflects the anxieties of the machine age.

Recitals are free and open to the public online. Free registration is required and grants you on-demand access to the recital video.
