Alan Tolbert, trumpet
Alan’s program will feature five pieces, each containing some strong connection to how Alan identifies music and the values that are important to him. Prefacing each piece will be a spoken introduction about what the piece means to him as a performer and a person, given either by himself or the composer of the piece. The recital will feature works by Takemitsu, Hovhaness, Gill, Eben, and Arban.
A livestream of the performance will also be available on Curtis’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
