Student Recital
The Edith L. and Robert Prostkoff Memorial Concert Series
The Curtis Institute of Music’s iconic Student Recital Series returns this fall in Gould Rehearsal Hall. All recitals require a free ticket reservation. Public registration is available one week prior to event and is limited to two tickets per request.
Join us for a recital filled with enchanting and jaw-dropping works for strings. Founding harp faculty Carlos Salzedo and “father of Russian classical music” Mikhail Glinka provide the opening pair of works, followed by breathtaking feats of violin virtuosity.
Bring your passport for the evening’s final performances. The first, Béla Bartók’s Contrasts, showcases the raucous folk music of Romania and Hungary. The second, the Viola Suite by Ernest Bloch, shows its composer’s fascination with the distant lands of Southeast Asia.
