Lauded as “exquisite” by The Philadelphia Inquirer and “a pianist of sterling artistry” by Gramophone, Michelle Cann has become one of the most sought-after pianists of her generation. She was the recipient of the 2022 Sphinx Medal of Excellence, and she joined the Curtis piano faculty in 2020 as the inaugural Eleanor Sokoloff Chair in Piano Studies.
Dover Quartet
Named one of the greatest string quartets of the last 100 years by BBC Music Magazine, the GRAMMY® nominated Dover Quartet has followed a “practically meteoric” (Strings) trajectory to become one of the most in-demand chamber ensembles in the world.
Avery Gagliano piano
Celebrated as “a distinctive young talent” (International Piano), pianist Avery Gagliano is recognized for interpretations with great emotional depth and a “distinctly narrative approach” (Miami International Piano Festival).
Ji Su Jung marimba
The first solo percussionist to ever receive the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, marimbist Ji Su Jung is celebrated for performances that are “dazzling—filled with breathtaking virtuosity…with extraordinary color and nuance” (JoAnn Falletta).
Elissa Lee Koljonen violin
Recognized as one of the most celebrated violinists of her generation, Elissa Lee Koljonen has thrilled audiences and critics in more than one hundred cities throughout the world.
Rosamunde String Quartet
An all-star string quartet comprised of members of some of the world’s leading orchestras, the Rosamunde String Quartet is celebrated for its “uniformly rich sound from top to bottom” (Cleveland Classical).
Trio Zimbalist
Trio Zimbalist has garnered critical acclaim for its “precision and feverish intensity” (Greece’s EfSyn). Members of the trio—violinist Josef Špaček, cellist Timotheos Gavriilidis-Petrin, and pianist George Xiaoyuan Fu—are all distinguished alumni of the Curtis Institute of Music.
